Musical Director
Kelly Nobles
Kelly Nobles grew up singing in the Junior and Senior choirs at Deep Cove United Church and later Mount Seymour United. She was mentored in all things musical by her beloved mother Donna Crook who was the organist and choir director at Deep Cove and Mount Seymour for over 30 years. After studying piano with Lloyd Moorhouse and voice with Arlene McIntyre, both in West Vancouver, Kelly studied voice at UBC with Alexandra Browning and learned choral conducting with Jim Fankhauser. Since that time she has enjoyed a varied career as a chorister, soloist, accompanist, choir director and church music director, all the while teaching voice and piano in her busy private studio. She is also very active in the North Shore chapter of BC Registered Music Teachers' Association where she is past president. Kelly lives in North Vancouver with her husband, composer Jordan Nobles, and their son Julian whose voice recently went straight from Soprano to Baritone.
